We smell a corrie secret - Will Becky McDonald return?

A lot of people on twitter have said they would love for Katherine Kelly to return - but laughed off their wishes and said "It won't be for another 10 years or something!" Well. We have great suspiscouns Becky McDonald could return to Corrie when her sort-of-mother Hayley Cropper starts to suffer from cancer.

Us at Corrie Fans HQ have worked out a theory that Becky could return when Hayley is at her deathbed, and maybe could tip her to move back to Weatherfield with her sort-of-father Roy Cropper! This is just our theory - maybe the Corrie Producer's could surprise us with a big return of a big weatherfield character this year? Or maybe, they won't. Which is probably more likely! 👎

Charlie Condou mocks 'Daily Star' over lovechild story

Charlie Condou has mocked the Daily Star for printing a story claiming he has secret love children, when he has spoken openly about his kids before.

The gay actor, who plays Marcus Dent in the ITV soap, has welcomed two children through IFV and also wrote a weekly column for The Guardian on the subject of same-sex parenting.

The Daily Star's frontpage for Thursday's (August 22) edition reads "CORRIE STAR'S SHOCK SECRET LOVE CHILDREN". Condou has tweeted his reaction to the tabloid's story, as seen below:

Co-star Jack P Shepherd, who plays David Platt, also joked about the cover on Twitter:

Condou has previously said of being a gay parent: "Almost everyone was fine with the idea of it apart from a couple of my gay friends. Someone asked me why I was trying to fit into a heterosexual stereotype.

"I thought I was doing the opposite, proving we can do it, too. It doesn't have to be them or us."

Tina confronts David about the crash - Preview of Friday's Corrie

As an exhausted Leanne sits at Nick's bedside willing him to wake, David is overwhelmed with guilt. At the same time, Tina leaves several messages on David's phone, desperate to talk to him and find out if he's responsible for Nick's car crash.

Later, Tina finally corners David in the salon and demands to know if he tried to kill his brother. Will a tormented David reveal the truth?

Meanwhile, when Katy suggests to Chesney that they should take Joseph to the park together, Sinead assures Chesney that it's fine and they can meet up later.

Dolled up to the nines, Katy meets Chesney in the café. Making out that Joseph has got a cold, she tells Chesney how she thought it'd be nice for them to have some time alone. As Sinead watches them from across the street, will Chesney succumb to Katy's charms?

Elsewhere, Gary and Izzy ask Tina if she'd like to babysit Jake. But they're taken aback when a distracted Tina seems dismissive and tells them she'll have to get back to them.

Also, Anna finds a note from Sylvia saying she's gone to stay with her sister, as she needs to get away from it all. She decides not to tell Roy and Hayley until they get back from their holidays.

Finally, Sally invites everyone to come dine with her, while Eileen is fed up with people gossiping about her love life.

Corrie Cast Statements on the Chris Fountain crisis

As most of you will know, Coronation Street actor Chris Fountain was sacked last night by ITV Cheifs as friend unmasked 'rape rapper' to Corrie Bosses last week. It took ITV Bosses all week to come up with a descision to keep or get rid of Chris, and after a long hard think-down Chiefs decided it was the right thing to do, but what do the Cast Members think of this?

Michelle Keegan said:

"I think what he has done is disgusting.... I don't want anything to do with him say no more!" - Digital Spy

Cath Tyldesly said:

"I don't agree with what he did but I won't be horrible to him" - The Sun

Alan Halsall said:

"I agree with the descision but Chris is a good friend of mine and that friendship won't ever be broken, he has done a lot for me on and off the set" - The Sun

These statements were on behalf of what Digital Spy reported.

Do you agree with the descision?

Helen Worth "saddened" by Twitter Hate

Coronation Street's Helen Worth told The Sun North West that she was saddened by twitter hate about her character Gail Platt, after a user said she looked like "E.T"

"It was something I always got as a girl, the kids at school would sometimes nickname me E.T (laughing) I was always a popular girl but was always the odd one out. Having the fans of the street notice my negative side makes me very sad!"

"I love playing Gail and I just act what they want me to act, but the hate does put me down sometimes but I know I have got to get on with it and do it for the fans more than anything!" Helen told a source.

When Helen was part of the Joe McIntyre storyline she also did receive some hate on Facebook, she told TSNW that she read over 400 messages of hate. She was deeply saddened.

Chris Fountain (Tommy Duckworth) discusses why Tommy might be jailed

Last night (2nd January 2013) saw Tommy Duckworth take the blame for fixing Fiz's boiler after she suffered Carbon Monoxide poisoning.

Why did Tommy take the blame for the boiler incident?

He's a true friend....

Do you think when the police come knocking his other secrets might be revealed?

Yes, definitely. It may all come flooding back

If you do get arrested, may Tyrone man up and admit it was him?

Well. If he doesn't have the guts to leave a woman who beats him up every day then certainly not, you know.... he probably won't own up because he doesn't want Kirsty to find out because he knows what she will do to him.

Will Tina reveal the truth if Tyrone doesn't admit it was him?

Yes, she will back Tommy all the way.
